Bates Solicitors are delighted to again sponsor the Matthew Elvidge Trust at The Fleet Half Marathon 2016.

The Trust was set up in 2010 by Matthew’s parents and members of the Elvidge family after Matthew took his own life following a short period of depression.  Suicide in young men is the single largest cause of death in the UK.

There are around 3,000 entrants and it is anticipated that 160 athletes including Bates TEAM 10 will run for The Matthew Elvidge Trust.  The Trust aims to raise awareness of the importance of wellbeing and good mental health, particularly for young people at school and university …..and ensure they receive the right support early, when required.
